Review: 17 Blemish Balm BB Cream!

For ages i've heard the hype about BB creams, but frankly, the weather here in North East England hasn't really been hot enough for a need for a light foundation, but since it's been boiling recently, I picked up this BB cream from 17.

For those of you who don't know, 17 is a brand from Boots which is aimed at younger people. I have previously bought eye products from them, and haven't been disappointed!

Appearance + Packaging
Packaging is fairly simple and understated, and comes in tubes of 30ml. Nothing more to say, really!

(L–Swatched R–Blended)

17 Claim...
*Even skin tone
*Shine control
*Covers imperfections
*SPF 25

Price
This cost me £6.99 from Boots, which is fairly reasonable for the quantity

My opinion
I bought the lightest shade on this BB cream, and irritatingly, it's too dark! It's a little to oily for my skin but doesn't break me out. To avoid wasting money, I use this for a base for my normal foundation on my dry cheeks since it's very moisturising. The coverage is pretty sheer and thus, didn't hide my spots, which really sucks.
In short, I won't repurchase, but i'd say this would be a great product for those with slightly darker, dry skin who only have minor imperfections.

  1. I seem to be having a problem when it comes to finding a BB Cream light enough for my skin, they all seem to be far too dark which is kinda frustrating :( xoxoxo

    1. Too true! Frankly, i've gave up on the prospect of finding a good quality, purse friendly BB cream which is light enough for the paler girl. Sucks like a friggin' dyson. :( xoxox

  2. You should try the Corean ones, they have better coverage and wider range of tones. Recomend you Missha: SIGNATURE REAL COMPLETE BB CREAM, if your skin is combination/oily, PERFECT COVER BB CREAM, if your skin is normal/dry. They also have 2 sizes, with the 20ml you can try and spend a bit less.

    1. Thank you so much for the suggestion. :) I looked up the company, which is cruelty free so I will definately consider buying from them. I'll have a snoop around on their website. Thanks again. :)

  3. Be careful because I've heard lot of the Korean BB creams have lightening agents in them!
